GTN Solutions was proud to be one of five lead sponsors of the first Metroplex Civic & Business Association (MCBA) Chairman’s Cup on Thursday, September 24, at Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine, Texas, the only NFL-themed golf course in the world.
Eighty-eight players and 17 sponsors attended the inaugural event. The day began with breakfast and time on the TopTracer range, followed by an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start and a scramble across all 18 holes. MCBA created the Chairman’s Cup to bring together the CEOs, owners, and dealmakers who build DFW on one course and to raise money for community programs across the region.
After the round, players gathered for a barbecue lunch, the awards, and a live set from Dallas songwriter Mitchell Ferguson. Congratulations to the Kensington Vanguard team of Zach Sams, Aaron Loose, Tyler Isbell, and David Lagat, who won the inaugural Cup without using a single mulligan. Winners took home more than $6,000 in prizes, including custom Bison coolers and a Masters golf bag signed by Byron Nelson.
Proceeds support MCBA’s community programs across DFW, including GIVElocal, which creates volunteer experiences with local charities, as well as Untrafficked, a 501(c)(3) working to protect children.
